A city that has to be seen? Definitely NICE! We are in love with this city. It´s not only the long promenade `Promenade des anglais´ along the sea that impressed us, especially the old town of Nice was very impressing! For a perfect day in Nice you also need the right food! And because there are soooooo many restaurants, bakeries, cafés and bars we want to share with you our favourites there!

For breakfast there are many coffee shops where you can have breakfast. But normally the french people just drink their coffee in the morning. We prefer going to the awesome bakeries and buy a baguette or croissante.

One of our FAVOURITE BAKERIES is a cute little bakery called „Le Boivin“ at „Rue Bavastro“ at the old port where they have the best baguettes. It’s a small private bakery a little hard to find but it’s so cute and not as expensive as the other big bakeries. Try the baguette with fig – it’s delicious!

For lunch you should eat a sandwich! Because in france they have to best Sandwiches. You can find them in all bakeries. As well there are many other options for lunch. We love crêpe with `caramel au beurre salé´, that is caramel with salted butter, it is famous there and you can get it on every corner. For a salty lunch you should try „gallettes“, it is a buckwheat pancake and is also very famous. They serve it with different ingredients like cheese, veggies, ham and much more.

The best thing in summer? Of course ICE CREAM! After breakfast or lunch it is the best snack. You can get the best ice cream in Nice, especially at „Fenocchio Glacier“ in „Rue de Poisson“, it is definitely the best ice cream. They have about 100 different flavors and very special ones like avocado, beer and cactus. We prefer the fruit ICE CREAM. It just tastes like a real fruit. AWESOME! But the other flavors taste also very good. It is worth it to go there!!

For the restaurants you always should take the menues. In france the differente courses are pretty small and it’s typical to eat three courses. And the menues are way cheaper than choosing the courses on their own.

We wanted french food for dinner and found the cute restaurant „Le Tire Bouchon“ at „Rue de la Préfecture“ in the old town. The first course with goat cheese cream is our favourite.niceessen

For meal we got a salad with shrimp and vegetables with a very delicious rump Steak.nizza essen

For dessert we took the famous „Café gourmande“ which is a small variation of all desserts of the Restaurant.nizzaessen

The service there was also very good. We recommend to look for a restaurant that is apart from all the tourist restaurants, they are mostly much better.

After dinner it is always good to go for a little walk at the `Promenade des anglais´. There you have a big choice of beach bars for getting some drinks and listening to music. Our favorite is „Blage Beau Rivage“.

We hope this is helpful for your next trip to Nice and hope you like the post.
